PhD position: Thermodynamic, structural and dynamical properties of chalcogenide glasses

This project aims at the characterization of the thermodynamic, structural and dynamic properties of chalcogenide glasses during and after irradiation. The activity includes the preparation of the glasses from the melts, their irradiation and their characterization. The main experimental techniques to be used are calorimetry, X-ray diffuse scattering and X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS). This last one is a technique available at large scale facilities (e.g. at the ESRF in Grenoble, France).
